​WHY INFRARED SAUNA ?

​Infrared light, which is not visible to the human eye, raises the body temperature and stimulates the breakdown of fat cells. Many environmental toxins are locked away in our fatty tissue making it difficult for our bodies to eliminate them. Infrared Sauna Therapy promotes the release of toxins and improves circulation in the body.

​WHAT IS HYDROTHERAPY?

​Sessions are one hour long and for optimal hydrotherapy benefits, we recommend alternating a cool 30 second shower every 15 minutes of sitting in the sauna. The contrast of heat from the sauna, and a cold rinse in the shower every 15 minutes stimulates the lymphatic system and enhances the process.

​WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY SESSION?

​Our sauna is a SaunaRay, one of the best in the industry, local, handmade and chemical free. Sessions are allotted one hour in length in a personal sauna and you will be the only person in the sauna and shower area for the duration of your session. We provide the sauna, towels, and water.

​WHAT IS MY SAUNA MADE OF?

​SaunaRay are the only company making 100% sustainable saunas in Canada and operate out of Collingwood, ON. They select each Basswood tree for their saunas by hand as basswood is the least allergenic wood in North America and it grows abundantly within 100 miles of their factory. It matures in only seven years which makes it a sustainable forest product. As their sauna wood is not imported, it is not pretreated with insecticides or fumigated like  "off the shelf" lumber.

To maintain your wood in the purity nature designed, SaunaRay undergoes a three month selection process, four times a year. Each piece of  Ontario grown wood is finished with pure Canadian beeswax. They build only 500 saunas a year and we at Hillcrest are proud to support them and provide their superior product to our clients.
